This Insanely Good Chocolate and Kahlua Cake would make a perfect ending to any meal. And you make it in the baking pan – so no mess!
Coffee and Kahlua are meant to go together! Don’t you agree? I’m making it for Father’s Day!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
3 Tbs. Cocoa
1 Cup White Sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. white vinegar
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
5 Tbs. vegetable oil
3/4 Cup brewed coffee – room temp
1/4 Cup Kahlua
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix the first 5 dry ingredients in a greased 8″ square baking pan. (You can double this recipe for a 9 x 13 baking pan)
Make 3 depressions in the mix – one large one and 2 smaller ones
Pour vinegar in one small depression, vanilla in the second and the oil in the larger one.
Pour coffee and kahlua over all and mix well.
Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 35 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
When cooled, top with frosting, sprinkles or powdered sugar.
