October is one of our favorite months in New Mexico and not just because of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. October offers many wonderful places to enjoy and things to explore all across the state! Temperatures are mild in the south and beginning to cooling off in the mountains – but there’s still ample opportunity to go camping and fishing!
You can experience it all in New Mexico. On some days, you can fish or ski in the morning and play golf in the afternoon!
Santa Fe is especially magical this time of year – the air is crisp and clean, the smell of pinon firewood and chile cooking on the stove evokes pleasant memories or predictions of a good time. Fantastic shopping, world class museums, art galleries galore and a multi-cultural experience that will leave you feeling ~ well, enchanted. Come – and stay at Santa Fe Skies RV Park!
Located on top of a hill just south of Santa Fe, enjoy unobstructed views of the surrounding area and our glorious sunrises and sunsets. In the evening, you’ll be amazed at the stars that are visible with the naked eye! The high altitude and low light pollution gives you the best sights of the heavens. If you have a telescope – be sure to bring it!
Santa Fe Skies has a total of 98 sites on 17 acres that overlooks the entire Santa Fe area. You can see the Sangre de Cristo mountains, Jemez Mountains, Ortiz Mountains and the Sandias from here. Quite the vista!
