The International Selkirk Loop is a unique, 280 mile (450km), scenic roadway that wanders through two countries, two states, three Indian Reservations, and a number of towns and villages. The loop connects the Pend Oreille Valley with the Kootenay Valley, forming one of North America’s more remote and scenic highways. One place you might consider staying is the StoneRidge Resort’s exclusive Motor Home Village. It’s a fabulous place for non-RVers as well!

The Motor Home Village is restricted to 31 feet or more to keep with the First Class resort feel.

For friends or family who would love to join you but don’t have a RV, they can stay at StoneRidge in a town home! Choose from a 2 bedroom 2 bath or 3 bedroom 2 ½ bath town home that includes rounds of golf and discounts on restaurant services.

But, outdoor recreation is a primary year-round drawing card to the area. Many towns along The Loop also offer wonderful shopping, dining, entertainment and events. There are a variety of terrific accommodations and dozens of recreational, cultural and historic activities and attractions that you are bound to enjoy.

Blanchard’s citizens, who number about 1000, hosts some fun events to showcase their community.  Friday nights are lovely for the Summer Concert Series in Lions Park. In mid-August, the Blanchard Daze Celebration features live music, a parade, stick horse race and other fun activities, followed later in the month for the Annual Bluegrass Festival.

If you love the small town lifestyle, you will love Blanchard!

So if you are looking for a place that is still close to home, but has some of the best views that the US can offer, then be sure to check out Idaho.  If you want to get there in a new RV, then be sure to come into Rocky Mountain RV and Marine for the best brands and prices in New Mexico.
