This Christmas Morning Croissant Breakfast Casserole make it the day before and cook while opening gifts. Like a Souffle with yummy fillings, it is so good and so easy to make! Guaranteed to satisfy and fill your families tummy.
Ingredients:
1 pound of your favorite hot sausage
1 1/4 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 tsp. salt
6 green onions, diced
1 package of mini croissants, about 12 – torn into pieces
3 cups of half and half
5 large eggs beaten
2 cups Shredded Gruyère Cheese
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
Cook Sausage, stir to crumble and set aside
Tear up the croissants and put in a big bowl, add the green onions
Whisk together the Half and Half, salt and eggs
Toss all ingredients into the big bowl and stir until well mixed
Place mixture in a 13 x 9 inch dish
Sprinkle Gruyère on top and bake 45 minutes or golden brown on top
If made the day before, do not put the Gruyère on top until ready to bake – then uncover and sprinkle the Gruyère on top.
