El Porvenir Campground

Located in Montezuma, New Mexico, this gorgeous campground is a favorite among RVers looking to “rough it”. It’s situated in a mixed conifer forest. It features 13 camping units with picnic tables, fire rings/grills, 2 vault toilets, and bear proof trash bins. It does not offer utility hookups or dump stations and you’ll need to bring your own drinking water.

You’ll enjoy fishing in Beaver Creek and day hiking. Keep an eye out for wildlife and remember to always keep your pets on a leash. The best part? It’s only $8.00 per vehicle!

Santa Fe National Forest

One of the most popular camping destinations in New Mexico, the Santa Fe National Forest features babbling brooks, raging rivers, and towering peaks. There are three rivers: 24.6-miles of the Rio Chama, 11-miles of the East Fork of the Jemez River and a 20.5-miles of the Pecos River.

There is also over 1,000 miles of trails for biking, hiking, and horseback riding. Holy Ghost Campground is located close by and costs $8.00 a night.

Bonito Hollow RV Park & Campground

For only $35 a night you can enjoy the beauty of the Rio Bonito on 12 private acres. Located minutes from Ruidoso, New Mexico, and only three miles from Lake Bonito, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this delightful campground.

It features 65 RV sites, 30 and 50 amps, showers, wi-fi- and cell phone reception.
