You can't truly call yourself a chile head if you've never been to the Albuquerque Fiery Foods and Barbeque Show! This is a must do event if you love crying, sweating and setting your tongue on fire!
Sandia Resort & Casino
The 24th annual National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show returns to the Sandia Resort and Casino Events Center March 2-4, 2012.
This unique show attracts attendees and buyers from around the globe and more than 10,000 general public attendance. Exhibitors in the show can take advantage of this opportunity to meet and greet new buyers, introduce their line of products or services, and reaffirm their commitments to their current customers who will be attending the show.
If you like warmth on your palate and have never experienced the Fiery Foods Show you should put it on your short list of places to go and thing to do. Great books, clothing, and decorator items – anything related to chili peppers – you’ll find at this hot annual show.
Public show hours are 4-8 p.m. March 2; 11 a.m.-7 p.m. March 3; and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. March 4. Admission is $15 for adults, and $5 for children ages 17 and younger. Parking is free at Sandia Resort and Casino, which is located just east off the I-25 at the Tramway Exit north of Albuquerque.
RVers can park overnight for free in the casino's parking lot but be aware that there are no amenities available, so be ready to boondock. There's even a shuttle that will pick you up and take you to the building.
If you would like to stay a little longer and enjoy more of all that Albuquerque has to offer, the closest RV park to the casino is the Balloon View RV Park.
The RV park has 87 pull through spaces and all sites are full hook-ups with 30/50 amps. There is cable TV and WiFi available, restrooms, showers and laundry.
