Mission Bell RV Park - A Little Slice of Heaven

The Rio Grande Valley in Texas offers a wide variety of interesting places to visit from South Padre Island to Mexico.  With a moderate climate and a nearly endless supply of sunshine, it makes an ideal destination for RVers.

A wonderful place for a RV stay is the Mission Bell RV Park in Mission, Texas.  Here you will find a top quality community and outstanding facilities for the active  55+ senior crowd.

The RV Park features 620 sites with grass and shade trees with reasonable rates.  Included are free water, sewer, trash, and Wi-Fi.  Both 30 amp and 50 amp sites are available and there are concrete pads at every site.  You will also find private cable, phone and internet at each site. 

 

Mission Bell has two large air-conditioned recreation halls, one with the biggest floating wood dance floors around, which is the perfect setting for entertainment by bands and performers.  There’s a commercial kitchen if you’re having a large party or reunion and each week there’s home cooked dinners and breakfasts.

Outdoor fun includes two heated swimming pools and Jacuzzis, horseshoe pits, bocce ball courts and shuffleboard courts.

There's even more activities to enjoy like a pool hall, woodworking shop,and quilting shop.

This area of Texas is great for birders and butterfly enthusiasts.  Mission Bell is minutes away from the World Birding Center and the North American Butterfly Association. 

There are 9 designated wildlife habitats nearby including the 85-acre NABA Butterfly Park and the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge with extensive gardens of native nectar pants and specific caterpillars host plants to attract large numbers of butterflies.

Mission Bell is also close to Mexico, just across the border from Reynosa.  From the RV Park you can arrange to take a tour to into the heart of Mexico to visit the artist community of San Miguel, the beaches of Mazatlan or the famous Copper Canyon.

South Padre Island is a short drive away where you can enjoy a day of lounging on the white sandy beaches and enjoy a fresh seafood dinner at one of the many seaside restaurants.  There’s also lots of shopping, fishing, sailing, para-sailing and water skiing.

Sounds like a little slice of heaven, doesn’t it?
