This is a margarita to die for!
Baja Margarita
Juice of 1/2 orange
1 fresh lime, cut in half
1 1/2 tsp. orange juice concentrate
2 TBS. freshly squeezed lime juice
1 TBS. simple syrup
4 sprigs of cilantro
1/2 jalapeno
2 TBS reposado tequila
2 TBS. triple sec
1 cup crushed ice
cilantro sprigs for garnish
jalapeno sliced thinly for garnish
In a 16 oz. tumbler, add the fresh orange juice. Squeeze the lime halves, adding the juice and then the halves to the tumbler. Add remaining ingredients and the ice to the tumbler. With a muddler, muddle the ingredients well. Pour through a strainer into a margarita glass. Garnish with cilantro and float 3 jalapeno slices on top
Hot, Hot and Dirty Martini
1 tsp. hot paprika
1 tsp. dalt
1 tsp. cayenne
1 lemon wedge
2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. olive brine
On a saucer, combine the paprika, salt and cayenne with a fork. Using the lemon wedge, wet the rim of a chilled martini glass and coat the rim with the seasoning mixture. Set aside. In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the vodka and olive brine. Shake vigorously. Strain into the martini glass and serve.
