Topsail Hill Reserve State Park is located in Santa Rosa Beach, 10 miles east of Destin, Florida.  Topsail has been named one of ReserveAmerica’s top 10 spots for “Amazing Locations”, “Fishing Spots”, “Hiking Trails”, “Tours and Events”, and “Unique Cabins”.

Topsail features 178 RV sites with 20 Pull-throughs and 156 full hookup sites and several are ocean front.  Both 30 amp and 50 amp hookups are available. 

You’ll find some of the best layouts and landscaping at Topsail.  All of the trees, shrubs, flowers and lawns are meticulously maintained and you might find an occasional fountain or interesting art object placed here or there. 

From the camping area it’s about a 15 minute walk through dense forest to what some have called the most beautiful beach in Florida.  Stretching for almost a mile, the sand is so white you’re going to need shades just to look at it!  And, amazingly the beach is not teeming with tourists!  Swim, sun, beachcomb for sea beans (read about sea beans on page 2) and watch shorebirds.  There’s a tram that runs every 2 hours starting at  9am that will take you to the beach.  It’s about a half-mile bike ride on a paved road to the beach.  Bikes are available for rent at the campground store, as well as kayaks.

If you’re into bird watching, Topsail has more than 13 miles of trails for hiking and viewing a variety of birds.

There are several small lakes in the resort.  On Lake Campbell,  which is a rare coastal dune lake, canoeing is available.

If fishing is more to your liking, there are many excellent fishing spots from fresh water to ocean fishing.

For those who enjoy hiking there’s the Morris Lake Nature Trail that meanders 2.5 miles through ancient dunes and scrub.  Along Campbell Lake you will discover a diverse array of plants and animals covering an area of over 5 miles.
