The two new features of the boat actually come from the other Z boats in the NITRO line. The Z-9 is now offered with the Rapid Planing System Transom, or RPS. What this new transom accomplishes is an unprecedented hole shot. The new transom paired with a 250 Horsepower Mercury Optimax Pro XS gives you an ideal set-up. Not only are you able to run at top speeds next to or ahead of all your buddies but your able to achieve that top speed several seconds before anyone else.

The second of the new features is a removable port console. Never before have you been able to alter your boat to conditions so easily. Many people love single console boats because of the extra room for storage and the ability to really move around the boat. On the other hand, co-anglers don’t really enjoy running around without the wind block of a second console. This new feature solves your problems with the turn of three large bolts you can add or remove the second console. Best of all you don’t need a single tool to do it and it takes less than 3 minutes.
